News update August 2019

Hey Y’all,

We are in the middle of the Dan Baird And Homemade Sin American tour, and y’all should get out and catch an American show. Ask anybody who has seen us - they’ll tell ya DB & HMS are not to be missed. After this there's a LOT coming up.

On August 24th the WEH Band play at “Thunder In The Glens” up in Scotland. Big Ass Festival, and we can’t wait. Loads of Loud Ass R & R for that night.

I then rejoin DB & HMS for shows at Bootleggers, Kendal, a 2 night stand at The Greystones in Sheffield, and The Green Hotel up in Kinross, Scotland.

Then the mighty three band triple bill of Jason And The Scorchers, The Kentucky Headhunters, and Dan Baird And Homemade Sin. We are doing eight shows in Great Britain between September 5th - 14th. They are the only Jason And The Scorchers shows of the year. Y’all come on out. Should be a serious “Ass whippin” goin' on.

Then we have a make up show from earlier in the year of DB & HMS at The Flowerpot in Derby. That place rocks. We are so looking forward to it.

After that The WEH Band have 7 British shows. Pushin’ the new WEH Band “Live At Bootleggers” record. Getcha one. It is a huge slab of R & R.

The WEH Band are also hard at work on a new studio album for release in early 2020. John Powney, Jason Knight, and Ben Marsden will be “Kickin ass and takin names” with me a few times next year too.

Y’all keep it between the lines , and Let It Rock Y’all.

See ya at a show soon!

News update - live album, tour dates, and new studio album in the pipeline

Hey Gang,

Lots going on in the Warner E. Hodges band!

We managed to get a live recording of the Bootleggers show in Kendal, UK on the last WEH run of Europe.
The band consists of the mighty Jason Knight on bass guitar & background vocals, John Powney, "The Mayor of Kendal", on drums, and of course the amazing Ben Marsden on guitar & background vocals, with yours truly WEH pulling up the other guitar slot, and some vocals. Quite a show. Chris Edgar recorded it for us on the night, then got the tracks to Joe Blanton back here in Nashville, Tn. at "The Underground Treehouse". Joe, Dan Baird, and a little bit of Me went to work.

It is a kick ass evening of Rock & Roll music. I think folks will dig it, and it shows the band at full stride on that run of dates!  We will be putting it up for sale as soon as the manufacturing order is made, hopefully in the next two weeks.

Live at Bootleggers

We also have a few British dates coming up in May: May 23rd - Hope & Anchor, London (SOLD OUT!), May 24th - The Greystones, Sheffield, May 26th - The WaterlooMusic Bar, Blackpool, and May 27th - The Railway, Ipswich.

The band will then be heading into the studio in London on May 28th to start tracking a new record. Really looking forward to it. Once again I'll have Joe Blanton and Dan Baird in my corner with help for the tunes, songwriting, recording, overdubbing, mixing, and mastering. We are aiming to have this ready for August/September 2019.

The Dan Baird and Homemade Sin European run kicks off in The Netherlands on June 1st, 2019.

News update August 2018 - album and tour plans

Hey Y'all,

Greetings from Nashville!

I've been kinda a busy guy, but Hell, I like it that way.

We have managed to finish the new Dan Baird And Homemade Sin record 'Screamer' , produced by Joe Blanton, with Dan's able help. It is chock full of R & R songs. Mr. Baird seriously wrote some great tunes for this one! You can order it from

We are back in Europe on August 24th with DB&HMS starting in Belgium - full listing at

That tour is a month long with dates in Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany, The UK, Spain, and culminating with 5 Italian gigs . Sounds like fun!

I then will do a WEH Band tour starting on October 11th at The Green Hotel in Kinross, Scotland. The tour will finish up in Sweden. We cannot wait! We will do loads of songs from my "Right Back Where I Started" record, along with "Gunslinger" tunes, and loads of other tunes (both albums available to order from

The band will consist of Jason Knight on bass, John Powney on drums, and Ben Marsden on guitar. I'm planning on playing a little guitar too. LOL. Should be KICK-ASS! I know the band will be!

In early November, Dan Baird And Homemade Sin go back to Denmark. Lord knows we love us some Denmark. Then on to Germany, the land of my birth, Switzerland, and our wonderful UK run of shows we always seem to do at the close of the year. There are special plans for the UK shows on this run, but y'all will have to wait for the announcement.

We go into 2019 with Dan Baird And Homemade Sin on The Outlaw Country Cruise to the Bahamas from January 27th - February 1st. I have managed to do all 3 previous Outlaw Country Cruises and they are a spectacular time. This one is sold out, but there is a waiting list. Y'all come if ya can. It's always a great time.

There is also talk of a possibility of recording a Bluefields record this coming Winter. We have all been so busy lately that The Bluefields have had to take a back seat in our schedules, however, looks like it might happen. Lord, I hope so!

As usual, I am at work on a new solo record, but it'll have to get in line. Ha!

Also, for those who would ask, I know Dan Baird is chomping at the bit, and already writing towards our next record. He is doing great after his treatments for CLL, and is in fine form. I could not be happier about this, as I will get to play a bunch more guitar!

Hopefully I'll see y'all out at some shows. Y'all come on out and say hello afterwards. It is because of y'all that we get to do what we do. Thank You ALL for your support.
